IT’s 2010! eeekkkk! and not only that, it’s June!!!

So here I am, in sunny Redcliffe, and almost half the year has gone and not much to show for it! But I have completed – would you believe, two quilts in the last two days! hooray! One is the flower wall hanging I started in May 2009 in Sharon Schamber’s class… and the other is the Christmas Tree skirt I started before last Christmas….. yes it did adorn the base of the tree, but now it has the binding on at last! I will post photos tomorrow or when I get some taken…. it’s too dark at the moment.

NOT much happening, personally, on the art quilting front, (too much time being spent at real work…ie work for money to pay for the textile habit) but we do have our exhibition coming up next month, at the Redcliffe Cultural Centre Mon – Fri July 10th – 31st….. 8.30 – 4.30 so be sure to come and have a look at it – there are some very talented people in the group – now called Reddy Arts Textile Group. Our open day is on July 20th 10 am to 2 pm in the Shillam Room at the Cultural Centre, and we will also have a display on in the library cabinets outside the library doors. All welcome, entry is free!  We would love to see you there.

And now for some serious tea drinking……
