Here are the 2015 Play Every Day in May drawings and a couple of textile pieces tossed in! More to come until the month is complete. Stilll lagging behind on 3 … may not get those done for a little while.

Lucy started it. Lucy is an artist friend of my sister, also an artist (see her work here: http://www.bakedbean.co.nz/mcbeath.htm) Lucy decided to doodle: 100 days, 100 doodles and is posting them on Facebook. My friend Brenda was inspired, and proposed we run our own “Doodle a day” but suggested just doing it for the month of May – since we are all busy women and we are textile artists – so the challenge went out! There are a number of us from Reddy Arts Textile Group, and some from our Facebook group: “Textile Art Collective,” doing various “Doodles”. Some are using their computers and others using pencil, pen or stitch; you might like to join in and try paint and coloured pencil, or inktense pencil, collage in paper or fabric, all are acceptable. Brenda posts the new topic each day. Here are my first five efforts. Mine appear to be drawings in pencil – for now – that may change… it’s all VERY good practice, and makes me take the time to do it as well as I can, not just “any old scribble will do” ! I hope I can keep it up for the month. I am a little behind, as we went away for the weekend:
These are my first few doodles, anyway, and I will post the next ones to this page as I do them, instead of on Facebook.
